Parent and Family Background
During the Jewish exile in Babylonia between 587 and 539 BC, God spoke to his people through the prophet Ezekiel. In this passage, Ezekiel helps the people understand that God loves them and will take care of them.
Ezekiel
34:11-16
“The Lord says, ‘I will look after and tend my sheep. When they get lost I will rescue them. When it is dark and cloudy and they scatter, I will find them. I will gather them together and lead them. I will bring them home to Israel to graze. I will bring them to good pastures high in the mountains of Israel.’”
