The Centurion’s Servant
Luke 7:1-10

Jesus entered a town called Capernaum. A centurion there had a servant. The servant was very ill and close to death. When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to ask Jesus to come and heal his servant.

The elders came to Jesus and pleaded, “Please do this for him. He loves our people. He built our synagogue.”

Jesus went with the men toward the centurion’s home. The centurion saw Jesus off in the distance. He went to Jesus and said, “I am not worthy to have you in my home. Just speak your word and let my servant be healed.”

Jesus replied, “I have never seen such faith.”

When the centurion and his men returned home, the servant was in good health.
