We follow your family tree back to the root of Jesse. During these days of waiting, we recall too, our own family’s heritage.

Thank you for the wise, loving, and caring people who have come before us. They continue to prepare our way to you. Like them, help us be faithful members of our own family and the family of God. May our words and actions lead us to you. Guide our actions that prepare the way for your return.

Thank you for this food before us. With grateful hearts, we share this meal. With hopeful hearts, we await the coming of our savior. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
