Mary’s Canticle (based on Luke 1:46-55)
Leader: My soul sings of the greatness of God. I rejoice in God my savior.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Leader: God has done great things for me.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Leader: God’s mercy is from generation to generation.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Leader: God turns away from the proud hearted but attends to the little ones.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Leader: God feeds the hungry and sends the rich away empty.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Leader: God remembers us and keeps the promises made to Abraham, Sarah and their descendants.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Leader: My soul sings of the greatness of God. I rejoice in God my savior.
All: Holy is God’s name.
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
