Tabernacle
The Eucharist is kept in
the tabernacle. The tabernacle is the gold box
you see on the stand in this picture. This church
has several chairs set up in front of it, so people
can come and pray quietly.
The
candle next to the tabernacle is lit when
the Eucharist is present. When you see that
the candle is lit, you can bow your head
or genuflect to show reverence and respect
for the Eucharist.
