Scope & Sequence
Kindergarten
The scope and sequence of Faith First Kindergarten has been developed to provide kindergarten children with a readiness for future catechesis.
The Faith First Kindergarten child's book is divided into 4 units and contains 24 chapters. Nineteen chapters focus on core teachings of the Catholic Church that are foundational to Catholic life. Five chapters are devoted entirely to presenting five Bible stories. Finally there are 10 lessons that engage the children in the celebration of the seasons and special days of the Church year.
Faith First Kindergarten is based upon the four parts of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The key teachings of the Catechism have been appropriately woven into the 4 units of Faith First Kindergarten to meet the unique learning and faith development needs of kindergarten children.
